You’ve heard the term hacker, you know they can cause damage and create havoc, but do you know what a hacker is? A hacker is a programmer able to get into a system or gain unauthorized access by skillful strategy. Hackers can be useful for maintaining a system and is constantly searching for security deficiencies. They can be the guardians of the security system. They also can turn that around and do more harm then good. A hacker is a skilled programmer who can write software expertly and swiftly. They can crack nearly any code and get into any computer system.

SPYWARE DELIVERS ENOUGH ADS TO MAKE PEOPLE CRAZY

Today ads enter email inboxes and interrupt us on websites we visit. No one is free of all unwanted Ads many containing Adware. Good Spam filters should catch them. Adware emails come to harvest personal information or download unwanted programs to computers. Ads containing Adware are an easy way to attack computers, committing crimes like scamming and cramming or stealing identities.

Spyware comes in many varieties and Adware is the most vicious. When surfing the Internet for information or out of curiosity, Adware is nearby because legitimate webpages can include Ads with Adware.

HALT BROWSING HOT SHOTS WITH FIREWALLS

Firewalls work within our computer to prevent hackers and others from setting fire (figuratively speaking) and destroying data files, ravaging private information or harming computer hardware and software. A computer firewall is a virtual wall, halting unwanted hackers and vicious software attempting to enter personal, business and other computers.

Computer firewalls are similar to firewalls required for large buildings. The firewall is a thick brick wall located between sections of buildings forming a barrier to prevent fire from spreading to other parts of the building.

A computer firewall functions in a similar way and halts the hot hands of hackers and websites from breaking into a computer.

IS SPAM THAT BAD FOR YOUR PC

Many of us consider ourselves computer literate and yet spam can cause us as much concern as it does those who know very little about the dangers of spam. The only way to keep our email inbox secure is to use a good filtering email program, which will “dam that spam”. It is very important to remember spam is often far more than an unwanted or unsolicited piece of junk mail we can just dump into the wastebasket.

The best feeling one can have while searching through incoming mail is a feeling of insecurity because insecurity in the end will be our security against harmful, spam email.

HOW DO I GET RID OF SPYWARE?

All over the internet you can find forum posts, blogs, other text all asking the same question, how do I get rid of spyware?

At some point, most of us have had the strange home-page change, pop-ups appearing from nowhere and other classic symptoms of being infected with spyware. The trick though is figuring out what is spyware, and what isn’t. Some websites for example initiate pop-ups themselves, this doesn’t mean that you have spyware on your PC, though!

There are a few ways to remove spyware. The most common being either to do it yourself, or to buy a spyware removal tool.
